Why Groove Parenting Is Not Just Another "How To Parent" Resource.

Apr 02, 2023

As Education Director of a New York City school, I was responsible for many moving parts, including managing a school during a global pandemic. Just a few of the items on my list to consider: students, parents, teachers, fellow admins, Department of Health, communications, admissions, and the list goes on. Being a leader means taking risks, being innovative, staying on point, and following through.

The biggest factors that led to my success were:

1. Implementing organized systems. Being organized (not just the physical space) means effective communication (with teachers and parents), less chaos, clear expectations, and systemized training.

2. Involving community members in the decision-making process. Before I introduced a new procedure – or if something was awry with one of our systems – I asked for input. . . and listened. Teachers felt validated and heard.

Guess what?

I applied these same principles at home and – drumroll – the burden of parenting shifted, and I felt more peace and joy in the day to day.

Now it’s my time to help you!

As a busy parent with young a child, I know you can benefit from streamlining your day to day with organized systems unique to your family, and as a result you and your child(ren) will feel empowered to work together.

🌟 No more power struggles
